There is no distributor in your '99 Crown Vic, each spark plug has it's own ignition coil sitting on top of it. The spark plugs are fired directly from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), some may just call it the computer.



It sounds like you have retrieved the code stored in the PCM, if so, what was it? Is the check engine light flashing?
