80's honda civic help?

I've given up on it for awhile, but I want to attempt to fix it again. My brother drove it to Carls Jr. and it wouldn't start in the parking lot. It's getting fuel so that is not the problem. I believe it has something to do with getting spark. However I changed the distributor but that did not work. Please list all possible things that could be wrong with it. And If you could describe how it could be checked and/or fixed. Thanks for your time.80's honda civic help?
Check the following;

1. spark plugs

2. ignition coil

3. rotor

4. distributor cap

5. fuel pump

6. fuel pump relay

7. fuel filter

8. starter

9. loose connection in the battery,. starter, and alternator.

Hope this helps!80's honda civic help?
Is it fuel injected or carb? Did you change the distributor or just the cap? If you did replace the distributor did you set in to TDC and check the timing?

You need to pull the # 1 spark plug wire and check for spark if no spark

1. Remove distributor cap and have someone crank the engine and make sure the rotor is turning,If rotor is not turning then you have a broken timing chain/belt or broken distributor.

2. Pull the #1 spark plug wire and check for spark if no spark then go to # 3

3. Pull the coil wire from the distributor cap and check for spark there if no spark then the problem will be from the coil back to the ignition switch if you have spark then the problem will be in the distributor ';pick up coil';.

4. check all fuses engine fuses and inside the cab fuses

5. check all the electrical connectors and make sure they are together

THINGS THAT CAN CAUSE NO SPARK

bad distributor cap/spark plugs/wires

bad ignition coil

bad ignition module

bad pick up coil (sets inside the distributor)

bad crank shaft sensor (some models have them)

bad oil pressure switch (oil sending unit )

bad fuse
